Tuition Reimbursement
Huber offers tuition reimbursement for eligible college-level education costs to help you achieve your goals for personal growth and professional advancement.
Through this program, you can receive a 90% reimbursement of tuition and required laboratory fees following successful completion of an approved course. Reimbursement is contingent upon earning a grade of “C” or better on an undergraduate level, or a “B” or better on a graduate level, or confirmation of satisfactory completion of the course from the school when a course grade is not given.
In general, reimbursement requests are limited to two classes per semester. More detailed information about credit hour limits for traditional and online courses can be found in the Tuition Reimbursement Policy. Also, keep in mind that reimbursement amounts above $5,250 in one year are considered taxable earnings.
Who’s eligible?
Full-time, regular employees with a minimum of six months active service and who maintain satisfactory work performance are eligible to apply for tuition reimbursement. You are expected to continue working at Huber for a minimum of 12 months following the completion of an approved course, curriculum, certificate, professional accreditation or degree program. If you voluntarily terminate employment before fulfilling this commitment, you will be required to repay all reimbursements you received within the preceding 12 months.
Note: Executive MBA programs are not part of this policy and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If approved, you would be required to stay at Huber for a minimum of 24 months or repay all reimbursements received within the preceding 24 months.

Kaplan Educational Partnership
Huber's educational partnership with Kaplan helps you access flexible, online degree programs from leading universities at special rates. These programs are built for working professionals, offering the convenience and flexibility you need to balance work, life, and learning.
You may pursue micro-credentials, certificates, associate's, bachelor's and master's degrees fully online through Purdue Global, Lynn University, and Wake Forest University. Additionally, more than 100 fields of study are offered, and you may take advantage of earning college credit for previous work and educational experiences.
You may find information regarding fields of study, program start dates, tuition costs and other details at: go.kaplan.com/jmhuber
Who’s eligible?
All U.S. based Huber employees and their immediate family members (spouses and children) may apply for degree programs and take advantage of the tuition discounts offered through the Kaplan Partnership.
How does this work with Huber's Tuition Reimbursement Program?
In addition to the available tuition discounts, employees may be eligible for 90% tuition reimbursement on select degrees and certificates. Employees who have been working at Huber for 6+ months are eligible for Huber's tuition reimbursement policy, which provides 90% reimbursement for tuition and lab fees (other fees such as registration, activity and late fees are not covered). Family members of employees are not eligible for the tuition reimbursement program.
Please speak to your HR Partner before enrolling in any educational program, and they will walk you through the tuition reimbursement program, full policy and any necessary paperwork.
How do I apply for degree programs?
After speaking with your HR Partner and selecting a field of study, visit the Kaplan/Huber microsite and begin the application process. The microsite will put you in contact with a dedicated Admissions Specialist to assist with the process.
What if I cannot pay for my tuition expenses upfront?
If you enroll in one of Purdue Global's degree programs, you will be eligible for deferred tuition in which you will provide a credit card to hold a spot in your classes each term but will not be charged until 45 days after classes end. This allows Huber employees to submit their final grades to their HR partner at close of term and, assuming they meet grade requirements, be reimbursed under Huber's Tuition Reimbursement Program prior to the charge being processed on their credit card.
How does prior learning and work experience get assessed toward earning college credit?
If pursuing a degree program with Purdue Global, you can build an Experiential Learning Portfolio to have your prior college coursework, work experience, professional training and certifications, military experience or course assessments be assessed toward college credit. There are two ways to go about this:
- Pathway to College Credit: You take a free online class over 3-5 weeks that walks you through the steps of building a portfolio to be assessed for credit. You submit the portfolio with a $1500 assessment fee. You may take the online course and submit the portfolio either before or after applying for a degree program. Credit may be earned once the portfolio is assessed, but no credit is earned for completing the online course and modules.
- Academic Prior Learning Portfolio: You must first apply for and be admitted to your degree program. You may then complete a 10-week instructor-led course where you build a portfolio. You submit the portfolio with a $1500 assessment fee. Credit may be earned once the portfolio is assessed, and employees earn 6 credits for completion of the instructor-led course.
